Conspiracy Theories

I am sure someone has said this somewhere before, but my attitude toward conspiracy theories is this:

Never explain something by conspiracy when simple incompetence will suffice.

A variation on Napoleon's, "Never ascribe to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence"?

Hi, David. I was tipped off to this blog by a friend. I'm Sean Dailey and I'm a former Marine and a devotee of G.K. Chesterton (I edit Gilbert Magazine, a magazine devoted to GKC).

Come check out my blog, The Blue Boar, at http://theblueboar.blogspot.com.

Another blog you'll love, also run by former Marines (including a former drill instructor) is Lair of the Catholic Cavemen,

Cheers and Semper Fi!

"When you're young, you look at television and think, There's a conspiracy. The networks have conspired to dumb us down. But when you get a little older, you realize that's not true. The networks are in business to give people exactly what they want. That's a far more depressing thought. Conspiracy is optimistic! You can shoot the bastards!"

Chestertonian,

Thanks for blog tips! I used to subscribe to Gilbert but unaccountably let my subscription lapse. I'll think about resubscribing.

Nice Jobs quote claudio.
